Ski Inn Fernie B&B is located on the Fernie Alpine Resort ski hill in the Timberline Lodges, on the second floor of the Spruce Lodge Unit 224.
Fernie Alpine Resort is located 5 kms west of the town of Fernie.

From Calgary
Route 1
- From Calgary take Highway 2 south to Highway 3 west - Highway 3 exit is just before you reach Fort Macleod.
- Turn right onto Highway 3 heading west, which takes you through the Crowsnest Pass to Fernie. (This is the longest route, however it avoids secondary roads and provides a good option if alternate routes are in poor winter driving condition.)
Route 2
- From Calgary take Highway 2 south to Nanton, at the far end of Nanton on the right is a sign to the cemetary and Chain Lakes, turn right at the sign, onto secondary Highway 533.
- Travel 9.5 kms west to 4 way intersection (no stop sign) marked by Holton's Corner sign. The highway takes a 45 degree turn left (south) and curves around to connect to Highway 22. Distance between Nanton and Highway 22 is 40 kms via Secondary Highway 533.
- At Highway 22 there is a 'T' intersection and stop sign. Turn left onto Highway 22 heading south to Highway 3.
- At the intersection of Highway 22 and Highway 3 there is a 'T' intersection and a stop sign. Turn right heading west onto Highway 3 which takes you through the Crowsnest Pass to Fernie, B.C.
(This is the shortest route and quickest depending on winter road conditions.)
Route 3
- From Calgary take Highway 2 south to Highway 7.
- Turn right, west onto Highway 7 and travel west to Black Diamond, from Black Diamond take Highway 22 south (turn left at the Esso station in Black Diamond).
- Turn right heading west onto Highway 3 which takes you through the Crowsnest Pass to Fernie, B.C. (This route provides another option depending on winter road conditions.)
From Fernie
- Travel 5 k west on Highway 3 to the large Fernie Alpine Resort sign on the right hand side of the highway.
- Turn right onto Ski Hill Road. Take 2nd left onto Timberline Crescent at the Fernie Lodging sign. (The first left is also Timberline Crescent - do not take this road).
- Turn left off Timberline Crescent into Timberline Resort (at Fernie Lodging signs)
There are several buildings all named after trees. The Ski Inn is in the Spruce Lodge.
The Spruce Lodge is the second building on the right and has a roof over the vehicle loading area at the front door. On the second floor, #224 is the second unit on the right.
From Other Locations
- Air access via Salt Lake City to Cranbrook Canadian Rockies International Airport (1 hr drive to Fernie) via Delta (Skywest) airline 1-800-221-1212 Sat, Sun, Wed service mid December to end of March.
- Fernie Alpine Resort is a 1 hour drive east from Cranbrook on Highway 3.
